This summer, while on the road to Vancouver, I pulled over at Bridal Veil Falls right near Chilliwack, BC. I would wholeheartedly recommend this short hike as a pit stop on a road trip, or as a day trip if possible.
Here are some photographs from the base of the waterfall!
Hey all! So I recently visited some amazing friends in Toronto, and in the mean time had a chance to explore and see some of the really great things the city has to offer. I’ll post a full guide to must see attractions later on (this time of year is a bit of a time crunch!) but in the meantime here’s my favourite shot from the trip.
The full Toronto skyline, lit up at night. Taken by stitching several shots together.
I’ll have a print available on Etsy shortly, or feel free to contact me if you might be interested in getting a copy!
Just got back to Ottawa in time for the Rideau Canal to open for the winter season!
So excited to get back out skating again, even if the temperature is unbelievably cold. Shot these photos on the first day the canal was open right as the sun was setting!
Some photographs taken during a day trip to the mountains. A definite perk of being home for the holidays!
It was a very cold morning when I set out at 4am from Calgary to Lake Minnewanka, Banff. While I was really hoping to get some long exposure shots of the stars and the sunrise, as per usual in the Calgary area, the weather forecast was misleading and clouds rapidly covered the sky.
Nevertheless, I tried to make do with what I had and I’m reasonably happy with how it turned out! Also included are shots that day from Vermillion Lakes and Bow Falls.
Some photos taken while walking around Ottawa at night, the lights around the capitol are absolutely gorgeous!

In Canada we are lucky enough to have fantastic scenery from coast to coast. One of my favourite places to be is the foothills, marking the beginning of the Rocky Mountains, in Alberta. Hopefully I managed to capture even just a portion of the rampant natural beauty along the Albertan border, to give a taste of how wonderful it truly is.
Celebrating Canada Day at the Bar U Ranch was fantastic. The historic site located in the Calgary foothills provided visitors with a tour of the ranch and the opportunity to experience facets of the cowboy lifestyle. Cowboy coffee was cooked over a fire and served hot, rope making was demonstrated, lassoing taught to curious passerby, and homemade ice cream and cookies made in a rustic kitchen. The ranch is absolutely stunning, and I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to anyone traveling through Alberta.
Prints of photographs taken of the Ranch can be found on my Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LifeRecaptured
Such a lovely day in Ottawa during the Tulip Festival!
I biked over in the morning when the lighting really highlighted the petals and brought out the colour. The best part of any of these festivals is the people! The park was crowded with lovely people enjoying the day.
Anyways, here are some of the tulip shots from the day.
These photographs were taken a few years ago on one of the most picturesque walks I took through a local Provincial Park. Fall is the most beautiful time of the year!
